about VSA
Very Special Arts (VSA) Singapore is a charity affiliated to the National Council of Social Service. VSA Singapore was launched by Patron and Singapore’s Ambassador-at-large, Professor Tommy Koh on 27 September 1993.
VSA's mission is to create and provide access and opportunities for people with disabilities through the arts. To achieve this, VSA Singapore promotes the educational, social and rehabilitative benefits of visual, performing and literary arts; integrates individuals with disabilities into mainstream society through the arts, and assists them to obtain independence through arts and art creations.
Through workshops, courses and fun activities specially organised for those who are mentally or physically challenged, VSA caters to their needs and looks to the future of these people in terms of equipping them with artistic skills for future job opportunities.
